Voice messages of users of 'VKontakte' were in the public domain

Several thousand voice messages sent by users of the VKontakte social network were made publicly available. The leak was discovered by visitors to the Dvach forum.

The custom audio messages were kept for at least a month in the 'Documents' section, where they could be found for the query 'audiocomment.3gp'. At the same time, the link to each found file contained the id of the sender's page.

According to representatives of VKontakte, the audio recordings that got into the Documents were sent through unofficial applications and have already been deleted by the administration of the service. The social network itself does not contain vulnerabilities, and messages sent using the official VKontakte client are inaccessible to unauthorized persons.
