A few weeks ago Facebook reported a massive hacker attack affecting 50 to 90 million accounts. New data published by the social network indicate that a much smaller number of users have become victims of attackers.
As employees Facebook found out, during the attack, hackers seized control of 30 million accounts. In about half of the hacks, cybercriminals were only able to obtain the names, phone numbers and email addresses of the page owners. From another 14 million accounts, detailed information was extracted, including date of birth, marital status, geolocation, information about work and education.
In the near future, the administration Facebook promises to send all victims a complete list of data stolen from them.
