Sony has unveiled the SL-M and SL-C external solid state drives. Both new products are made in shock-resistant cases and equipped with a USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface with a symmetrical Type-C port.

The Sony SL-M and SL-C will be offered in 500GB, 1000GB and 2000GB capacities, with the main difference between the two models being performance. So, Sony SL-M will be able to provide read and write data at the level of 1000 MB / s, while the same indicator SL-C will be 520-540 MB / s.
Portable SSDs will go on sale this fall. Sony will announce the cost of the devices later.
