Roskomnadzor sent a proposal to mobile operators MTS, VimpelCom and MegaFon to test a new deep traffic filtering system (DPI) developed by RDP.RU. The tests will be part of preparations for the implementation of the bill on the “sovereign Runet”, RBC reports.
In accordance with Roskomnadzor's proposal, operators will have to install new equipment on parts of their networks in certain regions of Russia. During testing, it is planned to check the DPI's ability to block access to content from the registry of prohibited resources. First of all, officials are interested in the Telegram messenger, which has not yet been completely blocked with available funds.
The previously created RDP.RU system, together with the developments of six other companies, passed a series of tests in the Roskomnadzor laboratory.
