Kaspersky Lab specialists discovered a dangerous vulnerability in the operating system Windows that could allow attackers to take full control of victims' computers. This was reported in a press release from the antivirus company.
At least two groups of cybercriminals managed to take advantage of the gap in the OS protection system. The exploits they created allowed them to attack PCs running Windows 10 and 8.
Immediately after the vulnerability was identified, Kaspersky Lab redistributed information about it to the company Microsoft, after which the company released the corresponding patch.
