John Carmack and ZeniMax Settle Litigation

In March last year, the famous developer filed a lawsuit against ZeniMax demanding an additional $ 22.5 million for the acquisition of the id Software studio he founded.

Now Carmack said that he and company representatives have settled this issue, and he has no more claims against ZeniMax. The details of the agreement are unknown.

John Carmack also noted that the appeal of the Oculus VR company, where he now works, against the court decision in the case against ZeniMax is still pending.

In 2017, ZeniMax sued Oculus VR for $ 500 million for the misuse of intellectual property related to the technology for the Oculus Rift virtual reality glasses. Carmack, who left ZeniMax for Oculus VR, has been accused of stealing intellectual property from his former employer.
