Some 10 years ago, a mobile phone was an expensive 'toy' and was used by people with above average incomes. Today, a telephone is a means of communication and almost everyone (who is over 7-8 years old) has it. Each of us has our own tastes, and not everyone likes standard phone sounds. Much more pleasant if your favorite melody played during a call.
In this article, I would like to show you an easy way to create a ringtone for a mobile phone.
So, let's begin.
Making a ringtone in Sound Forge
Today there are already many online services for creating ringtones (we will consider at the end of the article), but let's start with one great program for working with audio data format – Sound Forge (a trial version of the program can be downloaded here). If you often work with music, you will need it more than once.
After installing and launching the program, you will see something like the following window (in different versions of the program – the graphics will be slightly different, but the whole process is the same).
Click on File / Open.
Further, when you hover over a music file, it will start playing, which is very convenient when choosing and searching for a melody on your hard disk.
Then, using the mouse, select the desired fragment from the song. In the screenshot below, it is highlighted with a black background. By the way, you can quickly and conveniently listen to it using the player button with the '-' sign.
After the selected fragment has been fitted directly to what you needed, click on Edut / Copy.
Next, create a new empty audio track (File / New).
Then just paste our copied piece into it. To do this, click on Edit / Paste or the 'Cntrl + V' keys.
The only thing left is to save our cut-out piece in the format that your mobile phone supports.
To do this, click on File / Save As.
We will be asked to choose the format in which we want to save the ringtone. I advise you to first clarify which formats your mobile phone supports. Basically, all modern phones support MP3. In my example, I will save it in this format.
Everything! Your mobile ringtone is ready. You can check it by opening it in one of the music players.
Online ringtone creation
In general, the network is full of such services. I will highlight, perhaps, a couple of pieces:
Let's try to create a ringtone at http://www.mp3cut.ru/.
1) There are 3 steps in total. First, we open our song.
2) Then it will automatically load and you will see the following picture.
Here you need using the buttons to cut the fragment set start and end. Below you can choose which format you want to save: MP3 or it will be a ringtone for iPhone.
After specifying all the settings, press the 'crop' button.
3) It remains only to download the resulting ringtone. And then download it to your mobile phone and enjoy your favorite hits!
