All my friends talked about the significant advantages of protective glasses over films, so I decided to purchase them for my smartphone and tablet. However, installing them was not an easy task. But I didn't want to spend money on the service at all, therefore, having looked for information on the Internet, I understood an approximate algorithm and learned how to do it myself.
The first thing I did was to ventilate the room and wash my hands. You need to know that these seemingly commonplace steps are necessary, because if dust gets under the glass, annoying air bubbles will haunt you until it is replaced.
Now I'll tell you what I use to install the glass. I used ordinary scotch tape, scissors, some kind of liquid for cleaning the display, even simple alcohol, a microfiber napkin, such as usually come with glasses, for example, as well as some kind of plastic card, I use a bank card.
After that, I take the protective glass and attach it to the smartphone so that all the holes (cameras, speakers, microphone) match. After I try on, I take scotch tape and glue the glass on the side of one of the side edges of the phone. The result should be something that looks like an open book.
Then I degrease the screen with alcohol. This must be done, because otherwise dirt and streaks may remain on the screen, which will ruin all the work done. First, dry the screen thoroughly with a regular cloth, and then take the one made of microfiber and wipe the display dry. It is very important to ensure that there is no dust left on the surface. Often there is a special sticker for this complete with glass. Just stick and peel it off the screen, it will collect the dust.
After that, I start gluing the protective glass. I remove the protective film from it and quickly lower it onto the screen. It was here that the strips of scotch tape that I pasted at the very beginning came in handy, thanks to them the glass falls flat on the screen. Finally, I smooth out the bubbles with a credit card and remove the remaining tape.
Thus, I glued myself a protective glass for free and was pleased with the result.
