Gigabyte is preparing its own modification of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 video card presented two years ago. It will differ from the original model by using faster GDDR5X memory and a GP104 chip, VideoCardz reports.
The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 is equipped with a video buffer based on GDDR5X chips and a GP104 crystal, but the new video adapter will not be able to fully compete with it. In all likelihood, rejected GPUs with a reduced number of computing units will be used for its production. In addition, the bus width and memory capacity of the new items will be 192 bits and 6 GB standard for Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 versus 256 bits and 8 GB for GTX 1080.
