Blizzard decided it was time to add something new to the game.
Diablo III launches for the Nintendo Switch console on November 2, and Blizzard may be rolling out cross-platform multiplayer support to celebrate.
One publisher mentioned that Blizzard is in talks with Microsoft and Sony to add this feature.
However, what kind of gaming systems will support cross-platform play is still unknown.
Recall that Diablo III first came out in 2012 on PC. Later versions were released for the past and current generation PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
