Michael Morheim stepped down as President of Blizzard Entertainment.
Morheim founded Silicon & Synapse (the studio was named Blizzard 3 years later) with Allen Eden and Frank Pearce in 1991 and has remained its president to this day even after merging with Activision.
Nevertheless, the 50-year-old functionary does not leave Blizzard at all: he will take on the role of the company's advisor.
Blizzard's new president has already been appointed: Jay Allen Brack, who has been with the company for 12 years. He previously led the development of World of Warcraft.
Morheim highly appreciated the business qualities of his successor and expressed confidence in the further success of the studio under his leadership.
