AMD releases A8-7680 processor for legacy FM2 + platform

The FM2 + desktop platform debuted in early 2014 and with the advent of AM4 has completely lost its relevance, but for some reason AMD continues to release new processors for it. The latest addition to the line of chips for FM2 + is the APU A8-7680 based on the Carrizo microarchitecture.

AMD A8-7680 has a quad-core configuration and runs at 3.5 GHz with dynamic overclocking up to 3.8 GHz. In addition to the computing cores, the AMD Radeon R7 video accelerator with a frequency of 1029 MHz is located on the processor substrate. The chip has a TDP of 45 W.

Information on the cost and timing of AMD A8-7680 sales is not yet available.
